This means that Spain is the second country in the EU with the most female managers, occupying almost 4 out of 10 jobs, and also number 11 worldwide, data that represents two points more than the previous year.

According to this same study, Spain advances for the third consecutive year in the presence of women in senior management, and this places it as the second country in the European Union with the highest percentage of female managers, just behind Ireland.

All these data place the Spanish State in an advantageous position to meet the objective of the new European Directive, which calls for women to occupy 30% of managerial positions and on boards of directors, which will be transferred to Spain for its compliance, through the Gender Parity Law.

It should be noted that 93% of Spanish companies have at least one woman in senior management, four points above the European average (89%) and two above the global average (91%).

Madrid is the region with the most female managers, 40%, the same figure as the previous year; followed by Andalusia, with 35% having gained one point; Galicia, with 33%, but having lost 3 points; Valencia with 31%, two more points; Catalonia with 31%, losing one point; and finally Euskadi is in last place, with 30%, but having increased by 4 points.

The management areas with the most women are human resources, in which they occupy 42% of the 10 positions, which represents ten more points in just one year, and which places the figure five points above the European average (37%), and 11 points above the global average (31%); in the same vein, financial management reaches 40%, five points above the European (35%) and global (41%) figures.

Without a doubt, these are hopeful data for advancing this parity, and for a future in which there are the same job opportunities, regardless of gender.
