Will the Way New Generations Work Be Different?

Based on the post by Manu Romera Álvarez that we saw on LinkedIn, we would like to reflect on a crucial issue for the future of work: the way new generations work will be different.

6/16/2024

According to a report by Multitrabajo in which 139 people from the field of Human Resources participated, the following trends stand out:

  • 19% think that they will work from anywhere thanks to the ease of remote access.
  • 18% believe that working hours will be flexible.
  • 17% believe that they will work by objectives and without fixed hours.
  • 14% believe that work will be hybrid, combining office and other places.
  • 9% say that they will work few hours, but with great intensity.
  • 7% see greater independence in the relationship with supervisors.
  • 5% believe that they will work in shared spaces with unknown people.
  • 2% think that working hours will be longer, but with more freedom of schedule.

These data reflect a significant shift in the mindset and work expectations of new generations. Flexibility, remote work and autonomy are increasingly valued. In this context, it is crucial that companies clearly define the reasons why candidates and employees should choose to work with them and not with any other company.

Defining a compelling value proposition not only helps attract the best talent, but also improves employee retention and satisfaction. Companies must highlight their values, culture, development opportunities and benefits they offer, aligning with the expectations and needs of new talents.

The way of working

At Timenet, we understand that adapting to these new ways of working is essential for success and competitiveness in today's market. That's why we strive to improve our workday registration and project control system, so that there can be greater flexibility, autonomy and professional development, ensuring that the workers of the companies that use it find a place where they can grow and develop fully.
