There are many studies that point to multiple benefits in remote work, both to take care of the health of workers, and also to continue maintaining economic activity.
In all these reflections, it is necessary to take into account that work is one of the clearest social backbones, and one of those that most conditions our social contacts; it is important to highlight that teleworking in those sectors in which it can be implemented, would avoid a series of daily movements and social interactions, and this is very complicated to achieve with other types of measures.
But in our country there are a series of very established customs, and one is that of needing a specific infrastructure to work, and also a very great need to visually control the business workforce.
There are also many cases of companies that have very large offices, which they rent with in-person work in mind, and also some workers, who if they produce from home, must assume part of the expenses that this entails.
The point is that the percentage of people teleworking has plummeted again since the summer months. It seems that neither companies nor the homes of many people are prepared for teleworking, and the Law only "recommends" doing so, so it is going backwards in this regard.
