With the arrival of good weather, it is common for organizations to opt for intensive working days, with schedules that are usually between 08:00 and 15:00, which does not mean a very large reduction in the hours worked, and which also facilitates work-life balance.

But this year there are also the factors of the health crisis, teleworking and time control that influence this issue, especially the new Law on the Registration of Working Hours that began to be applied during the month of May 2019, and which has meant that 84% of workers consider that their working day has changed, in the sense that companies are now stricter in the control and registration of working hours, also according to data from the Hays Labor Guide.

On the other hand, there are those who, like Fernando Calvo from Hays, consider that the coronavirus crisis has greatly increased teleworking, introducing more flexibility and improving professional and personal balance; and that the application of intensive working hours is only reasonable during times when there is less work volume.

Intensive day

One of the most common measures adopted by many companies to facilitate all these issues is flexible working hours, making it possible to create the most convenient schedule in each case. Workday registration systems such as timenet allow you to use all these resources and comply perfectly with the Law, since the system allows you to mark when the workday begins and ends from anywhere that has an internet connection.
