Can teleworking harm professional growth?

Now that it seems that everything is returning more or less to normal, and that therefore there are many professionals who are returning to work in person, those who still do it from home are wondering and also fearing that teleworking may not harm their professional growth.

Linkedin has conducted a survey on the “Future of Work” among more than 1,000 workers, and one of the results is that 48% believe that teleworking could have a negative impact on their professional career.

Another result of this survey reveals that 25% of professionals prefer to work completely remotely, 40% believe that the hybrid model is the best, and 35% prefer to always work from the office.

The most important demands that have been seen in this survey are the following:

  • Maintaining flexible hours
  • Being able to decide where to work from
  • They give importance to rest and relaxation time
  • Demand for childcare services funded by companies.
  • Concern about the application of safety protocols at work
  • Have COVID tests in offices.

According to data from another survey conducted by Red.es, during the second quarter of 2021, only 9.4% of the Spanish professionals surveyed teleworked regularly, so it seems that the return to offices is already a fact.
